The Electricity and Energy Department of Azarabadegan Khoy Cement Co., with the aim of securing a stable supply of the energy required by the production process and managing energy consumption optimally, is responsible for the continuous monitoring and control of energy carrier consumption in the various sections of the plant. Using monitoring and control systems, this department works to increase energy efficiency, reduce losses and improve equipment performance.

Given the importance of energy consumption in the cement industry, implementing consumption optimisation programmes, improving equipment efficiency and using renewable energy are among the main areas of this department's activity. The commissioning of the plant's solar power plant is also a step towards developing clean energy and reducing dependence on fossil energy sources.

Energy Management System

The company's energy management system has been established on the basis of the requirements of the ISO 50001 standard and, by monitoring energy performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective and optimisation measures, works continuously to raise energy efficiency and reduce specific energy consumption.
